Bring on the Better Weather!

I don’t know about you, but just seeing the slightest bit of sunshine outside can make you feel so much more motivated to get out there and do something!

With all the snow, ice and freezing cold weather we had over the last few months, I’ve noticed that I’ve taken the bus instead of walking to work and to town, there’s been occations where I’ve not done as much as I could at the gym because I wanted to get home as soon as possible, I’ve not gone swimming in ages because of the cold when you get outside, and I haven’t gone out at the weekends as much to browse around neighbouring towns either. I’ve lived a very indoor life and my exercise has been hindered because of it!

Sorting out that Tummy!

Now, I know I’m not the only person in the world with a stubborn belly! The main part of my body that is oversized is definately my stomach, and although it’s slimmed a little through exercise, it’s taking it’s time to go away!

I’ve read lots of articles about Green Tea helping to reduce stomach fat when keeping up healthy eating and exercise. I usually have one cup of tea every other day on average, so I’m not a big tea drinker. But I thought to myself that I would try swapping my PG Tips for Green Tea for a while and see how it goes! Nothing to Give Up!

Last Wednesday was the start of Lent, and every year, I will normally give up some sort of endulgance like chocolate, sugar or cakes.

But this year, I feel at a loss! I hardly eat chocolate, cakes, crisps, biscuits or other treats like this anymore! It’s made me realise how much I’ve changed my diet, as if I were to give up one of these things for Lent, it would actually be too easy or not really make a difference to my normal life as I’m not addicted to them like before! ;-) Read more »

So, if you’ve been reading my previous blog, you’ll know that I’ve been going to the gym 4 times a week with my hubby after work for a few weeks now. I must say, it’s been working really well for us!

I’ve noticed that I have been slimming down much more over the last few weeks and it has to be because I’ve started up this new routine. Read more »

Losing Inches, Not Weight.

Well, I’ve been working hard at the gym for a few weeks now, going 3-4 times a week, doing a mixture of weights and cardio each session.

So, I thought I would weigh myself this weekend see how I’ve been doing…

When slimming, your body is obviously going to change. It will change shape and condition and that’s something to look after during weight loss. Now, I know this sounds obvious, but it can be easily forgotten. Here’s just a few bits to think about…

Keep up the Motivation!

I know, it’s tough to stay motivated when you are on that mission to lose weight!

I love going to the gym, but sometimes it really does feel like a chore, when I eat fresh fruit and vegetables I really do feel so much better, but sometimes I just want a hug bar of choccy! Thinking these things are normal, but can really have an effect on your motivation and commitment to sheading those pounds. Read more »

Slow Progress, Better than No Progress!

You, like me, have no doubt started to settle into the new year now and everything is pretty much back to normal. Some of us have decided to be healthier this year, or decided to achieve a certain amount of weight loss, to fit into that size 12 or 14 or promise ourselves to go to the gym or pool every week. Lots of promises and goals have been set and we are all expecting ourselves to keep to them 100%.

But, sometimes that doesn’t always go according to plan, does it? Read more »

New Year, New Me

Happy New Year everyone! It’s the start of a new year and a new decade!

The start of a new year is always inspiring to get yourself into new routines and better yourself. And for me, this year is a big year for my weight loss!

2009 was my first year using Proactol and it has done wonders to keep my weight down when I couldn’t exercise. When I was exercising regularly, I lost weight quicker and healthier than I had ever lost weight before. I tried out so many different ways of exercising and changed my portions and what I ate. It was a real experimental year to find out what works for me, and by the end of the year, I think I found it! Read more »

I have to say, I am on a bit of a high right now as I’ve just come back from the gym and thought I would see if I’ve lost anything over the last week. I’ve lost just over 2lbs in two weeks and I feel great! :-)

I’ve gradually got myself back into going to the gym and I absolutely love it! It looks like I’ll be going more often as my husband is thinking of joining the gym soon and we can go after work together and a good friend of ours is hoping to join soon too! So lots of motivation and fun for all of us! Read more »
